Maria Elena held on to the frames for several years, but finally decided to sell them to Civic Lubbock—the nonprofit constitution that created the Buddy Holly Center—in 1998. today, they ’ rhenium displayed at the center of the exhibit near Buddy ’ s Fender Stratocaster guitar.
