If vaccines work against COVID-19, why ask the fully vaccinated to wear masks?
I ’ megabyte not rolling my eyes at the new recommendations that some immunize folks wear dissemble indoors in the crusade against the COVID-19 virus — not so far anyhow. Masks are effective. It can ’ triiodothyronine hurt to put them back on for the extra level of protection, as I ’ thousand seeing many people are doing again. But I ’ molarity getting a act edgy with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ’ s new directing because it sends a confusing message over the effectiveness of the vaccine.
Do vaccines work or not ? The CDC and health experts say yes. fully immunized people can still catch the virus but chances of being hospitalized or dying because of it are reasonably reduce. Why the mask-up again recommendation ? The CDC issued the updated guidelines Tuesday pointing to reports showing an uptick of infections of the delta discrepancy in people in full vaccinated. The revised mask-up recommendation applies to the amply vaccinated in areas with “ hearty ” and “ high ” infection of the virus. not long ago, the CDC told us that amply immunized people could resume activities without wearing a mask or social outdistance. I distinctly understand that what changed since then is the more catching delta discrepancy that is now ravaging certain regions. That prompts another question. Do vaccines work against the delta version ? Again, health experts say yes. then, why ask the amply vaccinated to mask up again ? Shouldn ’ t the focus be among the skeptics, those anti-vaxxers who ’ re driving the infections up ? I repeat. Masking can ’ triiodothyronine distress and I ’ ll probably do it for the extra security. But the CDC, the ultimate scientific arbiter in public health, is confusing the heck out of everyone and angering people like me who supported and advocated for dangerous lockdowns and rigorous mask mandates.
